“Cancer Care in the Eastern Caribbean 2016 and beyond” is the theme for the 1st Eastern Caribbean Oncology Conference to be held on Sunday at the Halcyon Cove.
According to the Managing and Medical Director of the Cancer Centre Eastern Caribbean Dr Tom Magowan, the conference is aimed at educating all Doctors, nurses and other individuals engaged in the process of treating cancer on oncology management.
At the conference several cancer practitioners from around the region and Canada will address some of the major concerns affecting patients within the Caribbean.
Dr Magowan said the intention is to ensure that at the end of the conference persons will be up to speed with the most modern approach for the treatment of cancer.
The Conference is being hosted by the Cancer Center in collaboration with the Antigua and Barbuda Medical association, the Ministry of Health and the Mount St John’s Medical Centre.
