Barbuda is now open to the world as the government has outlined plans to make the sister island an official Port of entry.
The decision was made during Cabinet on Wednesday where the necessary legal work was completed which will see persons being able to enter and leave Barbuda directly by May 2016.
The Minister responsible for Barbuda Affairs Arthur Nibbs while speaking to ZDK news said that this move will have tremendous benefits for the people of sister isle.
Nibbs said that Barbuda becoming a Port of Entry will also have economic benefits.
He said that plans are also in place for Barbuda Airways to begin flying by the end of this month.
