A Judge attached to the Caribbean Court of Justice has called upon Antiguans and Barbudans to take full advantage of the Caribbean Court of Justice.
Addressing a gathering of law enforcement officials on Wednesday, CCJ Representative Justice David Hayton stated that Caribbean Countries inclusive of Antigua and Barbuda signed on to the CCJ 15 years ago.
He noted that it is time for the country to make use of the CCJ in its appellate jurisdiction and put it into effect with the upcoming referendum.
Justice Hayton in his presentation said that the court had proved itself and has developed well enough to be able to service the legislative needs of not only the Caribbean, but Antigua and Barbuda.
The CCJ Advocate noted that the court is a very proactive one and indicates that should Antigua and Barbuda make the switch, they will be satisfied with how the court dispenses justice.
