Gisele Isaac, Bailed at $200,000 After Being Slapped with 18 Additional Charges

Bail has been set for Former Executive Secretary of the Board of Education (BOE), Gisele Isaac who was arrested and slapped with 18 additional charges on Thursday afternoon.
Isaac who was taken before the high court earlier today, is one of the two affiliates of the United progressive Party who has been charged in the BOE Fraud Case launched by the Minister of Education Michael Browne.
She was slapped with 6 corruption charges, 6 conversion charges and 6 charges of larceny and was granted bail at $200,000 dollars. According to her lawyer, Leon Chakku Symester the charges are in relations to a salary increase she received during her tenure at the Board of Education.
Following her arrest which broke over the opposition aligned Crusader Radio on Thursday morning, a number of UPP officials have spoken out against the actions of the police force and launched a blistering attack on the Gaston Browne Administration.

In June 2015, Gisele Isaac and Algernon ‘Serpent’ Watts were arrested and charged with Fraud, Conspiracy and additional charges, for allegations of corruption while they served at the Board of Education.

The highly publicized Board of Education Fraud Case against the Board’s Former Executive Secretary Gisele Isaac was initially set for April 28th was pushed down to the 8 of June 2016.
