Guyanese Diaspora living in Antigua called to celebrate 50 years of independence in Guyana

The Guyanese Diaspora living in Antigua and Barbuda is being called upon to join in on the celebration as Guyana celebrates 50 years of independence.

The call was made by Nurse Alexandrina Wong while speaking during an interview with ZDK news. Nurse Wong said that a number of activities will be held to commemorate the significant achievement which kicks off on Sunday.

“Sunday the 22nd there is going be a thanks giving service at the Christian Church in Belmont, the entrance is by the flamboyant flower business on All Saints Road, the service starts at 10:30, a bus will be available from the west bust station, pick up time at 10:00 am and all are invited” Nurse Wong stated.

 

At the event persons are expected to be given additional information concerning other activities.
