The 30 million USD Pearns Point Development Project has begun the construction phase of its project, just a year after breaking ground on its ultra-luxurious five star resort, The Setai.
The developers have indicated that so far, 15 plots of land have already been sold, and construction has begun on the first of 2 Show villas, the Piet Boon and construction of the 2nd is expected to begin within the next 2 months.
Astrid Hartman, Marketing and Sales Manager for the project, told ZDK News that much of the base infrastructure is already in place inclusive of electrical lines, and access roads which is about 40% complete and construction is expected to advance well ahead of schedule.
Hartman indicated that the developers intend for the project to be a mixture of both private residences and hotel accommodation which will cover 137 acres of peninsula and enjoy dynamic ocean views.
The Marketing Manager also noted that since the construction has begun, locals have gained employment on the project she also indicated that the developers have no intention of importing workers.
Meantime, In light of growing concern surrounding the environmental impact of investment projects, the representative indicated that the Pearns Point developers share a deep concern for the environment and have gone out of the way to ensure that the environmental impact is limited.
Hartman stated that much of the trees uprooted for the construction process are being housed in Nurseries so that they can be replanted at the completion of the project in order to maintain much of the distinctive flora and fauna.
