The Prices and Consumer Affairs Division is advising residents who may have recently traveled and bought Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars overseas to refrain from consuming them as they have been recalled by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).
According to a press statement by the division on Thursday, the 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley and 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut was recalled on the US based website along with Barbados Government Information Service (BGIS) website as well.
The division has reported that that all wholesalers, importers and distributors are being contacted and informed of the incident.
They added that to date, there have been no reports of illness associated with these products. The general public is advised not to consume the goods until advised otherwise.
