The 14 employees of the St James Club who were terminated last month have received their severance payments.
Reports are that the workers received their cheques on Friday and were given an equal opportunity to be employed at any other establishment.
After a meeting with the Antigua Workers Union and the management of the St James Club late last month the employees received their termination letters which took effect on April 19th after participating in an industrial action.
The workers were protesting against a number of issues including ill-treatment by the department’s manager and having their working hours reduced without any discussion.
The termination letter indicated that the workers breached the procedures outlined in a Collective Bargaining Agreement to settle disputes. Intensified
