Antigua and Barbuda has welcomed it newest Chinese Ambassador to serve for the next three years in the person of Ambassador Wang Xianmin (Zyah-Min).
The new Ambassador was officially welcomed to the country on Tuesday and was greeted by Prime Minister Gaston Browne and a number of Government Ministers including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez at the Prime Minister’s Office.
While there, Minister Fernandez said he’s hopeful that the relationship between the Twin island state and China will continue with the appointment of the new ambassador.
Prime Minister Browne also pledged his full support to the ambassador and wished him all the best in his negotiations.
Ambassador Wang, in response said he intends to continue the work left by his predecessor and to make his own contributions to the development of Antigua and Barbuda.
The new appointed Diplomat replaces Ambassador Reng Gongping whose tenure ended on April 31st.
