The Gaston Browne administration is set at July 1st as the official date for the removal of Personal Income Tax.
During the Budget Presentation in January Prime Minister Gaston Browne made the announcement of the removal of the PIT come April. However due to issues beyond the government’s control the removal date was postponed to May 1st and now at the beginning of July.
Government’s Chief of Staff Lionel Hurst while speaking during Monday’s edition of ZDK’s Fire and Steel said that the government will be putting the necessary measures in place so that residents can benefit from the relief by the beginning of next month.
Hurst said that the removal of Personal Income Tax will also enable local businesses to provide more information to banks when applying for loans to establish their organizations.
