Customers at the Antigua Commercial Bank were in a frenzy this morning after gunshots rang out in the bank leaving patrons fearful of a possible heist.
Word reached ZDK’s News room this morning indicating that gunshots went off in St John’s Branch of ACB alarming customers sometime around 10am on Wednesday Morning.
Reports indicate that a police officer’s firearm miss-fired releasing two bullets as he withdrew the weapon from his holster to supervise a monetary transaction.
ZDK’s Newsroom reached out to Police Sergeant Frankie Thomas for a comment on the incident; however he was unavailable at the time.
Officials from ACB have addressed issue stating that no patrons sustained any injuries during the incident and maintained that operations have not been affected by this morning’s incident.
