Senator Weston says Heritage Quay venders need to improve their products in order to increase sales

The Minister of State within the Ministry of Finance Senator Lennox Weston has called on venders operating at Heritage Quay to improve their products in order to increase sales.

Senator Weston who was speaking on Observer Radio on Wednesday said the venders need to find a different means of increasing sales as the government depends heavily on Taxes.

Weston said that the merchants need to evolve and move away from the traditional products as Cruise tourists are more interested in authentic local products.

The Government official said he agrees that something must be done to address the fall off in sales; however appealing to the government to remove tax is not the answer.
