Airport officials issues stern warning to taxi operators who ply their trade at Airport

Director of Operations at the V.C. Bird International Airport Edward Jilkes has issued an ultimatum to taxi operators to avoid moving persons from the airport without the proper authorisation or risk legal actions being taken.

Director Jilkes who was speaking during an interview this morning indicated that a number of hotel owned taxi drivers have been moving person from Airport for quite some time without the proper authorization.

Jilkes made known that the only taxi franchise authorised by the Authority to transport passengers from the airport is the United Taxi Association.

He said if these unauthorised taxi operators continue to ply their trade at the airport legal actions will be taken to have them removed.
