Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission encourages persons to get registered

The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission is encouraging all eligible unregistered voters to secure their position on the voters list.

According to a release from the commission, the non-partisan, independent entity remains committed to safeguarding the electoral process and doing everything in its power to work in the people’s best interest.

The release states that in accordance to Section (28)(2)(a) of the Representation of the People (Amendment) Act, 2002, “Continuous registration shall be undertaken at such place or places and at the times fixed by the Commission.”

As a result the Electoral body has issued a schedule for continuous registration as follows:

St John’s City West………Mondays and Wednesdays

St John’s Rural West………Tuesdays and Thursdays

St John’s Rural South………Wednesdays and Fridays

St John’s Rural East………Mondays and Wednesdays

St Mary’s North………Tuesdays and Fridays

St Mary’s South………Wednesdays and Fridays

All Saint East and St Luke………Mondays and Thursdays

All Saints West………Tuesdays and Fridays

St George………Mondays and Thursdays

St Peter…………Tuesdays and Thursdays

St Philip North………Tuesdays and Thursdays

St Philip South………Wednesdays and Fridays

St Paul………Mondays and Wednesdays

All interested, eligible, unregistered persons are encouraged to register to strengthen the electoral process.
