Antigua and Barbuda’s adolescent HIV cases are on the low compared to other Caribbean countries which are affected at an alarming rate.
That is according to Acting Deputy of AIDS Program Manager Oswald Hannis who indicated that despite reports coming out of the 2016 National AIDS Conference, Antigua and Barbuda remains unaffected by adolescent HIV infections.
Hannis while addressing the recent increase in HIV diagnosis for 2016 said that the Secretariat is doing it’s very best to make persons aware of prevention methods and most importantly to get tested.
The Acting Deputy went to encourage residents to make use of the preventive measures especially during the Carnival Festivities. He also indicated that the secretariat will also continue its awareness efforts during the celebrations.
