Emerging victorious from a field of 18 other competitors Ms Abigail Piper from the Christ the King High School and Mr Jamal Gordon from the St Joseph’s Academy were the 2016 winners in the Scotia Bank Teen Splash Competition.
The pageant which was held on Monday night at the Antigua Recreation Ground also saw Ms Kiana Payne from the Antigua Girls High School and St Anthony’s Representative Mr Chad Kelsick receiving the first runners up positions, along with a number of prizes.
Copping the second runners up positions were Ms Nia Henry from Island Academy International and Tiquion Thompson from the Christian Faith Academy School of Business.
Both male and female winners received a cash award of $1,500 along with a number of other prizes.
Both winners of the Teen Splash competition will receive a gift certificate of $300 dollars from frank B Armstrong, gift certificates complements cool and smooth and town house mega store, a bike compliments bike plus, a mobile phone from flow, airline tickets compliments LIAT 1974 limited, a cash prize of $3,000 dollars, a trophy from the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission and a cash prize to open a bank account at Scotia.
