16 year old Darshanie Singh will be representing Antigua and Barbuda at the Annual CTO Youth Congress after she emerged victorious in the Junior Minister of Tourism Competition.
The 5th form student from the Antigua Girls High School who won the competition held at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Tuesday said it was an intense process preparing for the contest and it was quite shocking when she realized that her hard work had paid off.
Singh said that her love for public speaking was the main reason for her entering the competition and she went on to give details on the topic of her essay.
Meantime the Education Training and Tourism Awareness Manager Petley Knight said this competition was a stepping stone for the State of the Industry Conference hosted by the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
The State of the Industry Conference is schedule to be held in September.
