Antigua and Barbuda signs new airline agreement with UAE

Antigua and Barbuda has further cemented Corporation with the United Arab Emirates with the recent signing of an Airline Service Agreement (ASA).

On Monday during a ceremony at the prime Minister’s Office, the Minister of Civil Aviation The hon. Robin Yearwood signed the agreement with the Director General of the Civil Aviation in the UAE Saif Al Suwaidi.

Antigua and Barbuda’s Ambassador to the UAE Casroy James during his remarks described the agreement as an important one as it furthers the relationships between the two countries.

Minister Yearwood who gave the feature remarks noted that like the UAE, Antigua and Barbuda pursues a path of liberalization in international air transportation and seeks to maximise on the benefits which information technology can provide for ensuring that civil aviation is sustainable to all concerned.

The Agreement which is aimed at drawing investment from the UAE is also expected to open the door for more opportunities for the island to explore corporation in a number of areas in Civil Aviation.
