Delegates from across the globe, reaching to as far as New Zealand has made Antigua and Barbuda their home for 27 days of fun in the sun in the quest to be crowned the first ever Miss Regal International.

“Miss Regal is an Antiguan owned international pageant founded by myself. Having gone to so many beauty pageants around the world and seeing the effect that it has had on the host countries; 15 years ago I thought about it and i said i wanted it for our tourism product in Antigua and Barbuda,” he said.

Calvin S said that the journey to making his vision into a reality has not been an easy one but added that based on the rich experience the delegates have had over the past weeks, it has proved to be worthwhile.

He added that resident will experience a pageant like no other particularly because of the diverse culture which will be showcased on the stage. He said this coincides with the theme for the inaugural event, “Bringing Beauty and Diversity to Paradise, While Celebrating the Modern Woman.”

“What is so great about this pageant is that for me its a learning experience, not only in terms of pageantry but some of the countries and culture where these delegates are from are so diverse, similar to their looks so it will be a very interesting pageant,” he ended.

Antigua and Barbuda’s representative for the Miss Regal International Pageant will be Miss Latisha Green; a former Carnival Queen.
