The mother of deceased Onika Nikki Phillip has called out local authorities to provide answers surrounding her daughter’s tragic death during the Carnival last lap celebrations.
25 years old Phillip was crushed by a truck on Carnival Tuesday while playing mas near the Antigua Recreation Grounds.
Her mother Dornell Phillip took to popular social media Facebook to demand answers concerning what led to her daughter’s demise.
The grieving mother also called out the Festivals Commission for not contacting her about her Nikki’s death and further threatened to rein terror on Antigua and Barbuda is she is not provided with answers.
New York’s WABC- TV channel 7 broadcasted news of the tragedy over the weekend using clips from state owned media ABS in their news package.
The mother was also highly critical of persons posting pictures of the incident saying the pain it caused her family was unbearable and pleaded with individuals to have them removed.
