Half of Money Raised to Transport Nikki’s Body Back Home

The family and friends of Oniqua Nikki Phillip who tragically died on Carnival Tuesday have raised nearly half of the sum needed to pay for the cost of bringing her body back to Yonkers, New York.
Nikki’s friends on Saturday started a GoFundMe page to help the family transport her body back home and according to the page donations are at $2,310 with a $5,000 goal.
25 years old Nikki Phillip was crushed by a truck during the last lap celebrations while playing Mas near the Antigua Recreation Grounds.
Her death sent shock waves throughout the country and even beyond with a CBS news station in New York broadcasting a story on the incident.
Her mother also called out local authorities to provide answers surrounding her daughter’s tragic death.
Novella Phillip took to popular social media Facebook to demand answers concerning what led to her daughter’s demise.
She was also highly critical of persons posting pictures of the incident saying the pain it caused her family was unbearable and pleaded with individuals to have them removed.
Residents also had a take on the tragedy expressing various views on the incident and what transpired after.
