F&FEL dismissed claims of any political influence involved in the recently held “Mock” Election

In light of the results for the recently held “Simulated or mock” Election conducted by the Free and Fair Election League, Chief Elections Officer Bishop Rolston Jeffrey has dismissed claims of any political influence involved in the process.

Bishop Jeffery was speaking on ZDK’s Open Forum on Sunday.

The exercise which was conducted over a three day period concluded with the Opposition United Progressive Party winning nine out of the 17 seats which left the Antigua and Barbuda Labour party with the minority.

Meantime Prime Minister Gaston Browne has described the exercise as a “mockery poll” as according to the nation’s leader neither party has determined nor announce its slate of candidates for the next general election which means that the results bear no relation to reality.
