The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services has issued a flash flood warning for low lying and flood prone areas of Antigua and Barbuda.
That is according to Director of the Antigua & Barbuda Meteorological Services Keithley Meade who indicated that the weather condition is due to the passage of a vigorous tropical wave across the island.
He was at the time speaking on ZDK’s Expressions on Monday.
Meade also encouraged drivers to be cautious when traveling on the nation’s roadways.
Additionally the Director indicated that another tropical wave can be expected by next week. He said that if the weather continues it is likely that the drought situation within the country will see a relief.
The Director further urge residents to be vigilant and to continue to monitor the weather as it possible that tropical wave can develop into a storm of hurricane.
