Superintendent of Public Health Nurses, Coralita Joseph is reporting positive response thus far for the national Pap smear program which began on the 19th of September.
According to Nurse Joseph, judging from the positive feedback received thus far; it is an indication that the program was greatly needed.
She encouraged persons to call or visit the clinics between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday and on Fridays 8:00 am to 1:00 pm to make appointments as no woman will be turned away.
The program is directly supervised by the public health nurses, with the support of the office of the Medical Officer of Health.
