Antigua and Barbuda Primary Schools will be receiving school supplies from the Antigua and Barbuda Associations United (ABAU) Education Committee spearheaded by the Antigua and Barbuda Students Association-USA for the 2016-2017 School Year.
Among the schools to benefit from the donations are Bendals Primary, Buckleys Primary, Cedar Grove Primary, Charlesworth T. Samuel Primary, Cobbs Cross Primary and the Five Island Primary, among 24 other Primary institutions on the island.
Public Relation Officer of ABAU Rosannette Kirby said “It was inspiring to see people come together to participate in this important cause this back-to-school season. She also thanked the volunteers and sponsors for helping to ensure that students have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.”
Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Trade Senator Colin James while commending the ABAU on the noble initiative said that the primary schools students will be more than delighted to receive the educational items.
He also extended appreciation on behalf of the government to all the organizations who contributed to the effort.
