The Bathlodge man who was shot in the head has been discharged from the hospital.
50 year old Emmanuel Remy was released after being shot in his right temple while sleeping in bed with his girlfriend last Wednesday evening.
He was rushed to the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre where he spent two days in the Intensive Care Unit.
ZDK News understands that the shot was reportedly fired through the bedroom window which shattered as a result of the bullet.
Senior Sergeant Frankie Thomas told ZDK News in a previous interview that a young man deemed to be a ‘person of interest’ was in police custody assisting with the investigation. However, no additional suspects have been detained nor charges laid to date.
Reports are that the attack occurred around 9:30 pm that day. Investigations are ongoing.
