Former Executive Secretary and Chairman of the United Progressive Party D Giselle Isaac says she sees no reason why she should step down in light of charges faced while at the Board of Education.
In addition to Isaac other senior members of the UPP including Political Leader Harold Lovell, MP for St Phillips South Wilmoth Daniel and Deputy Political Leader Senator Jackie Quinn are all facing charges of larceny, fraudulent conversion and corruption following an investigation by the Police.
“Step down from what though? what am I to step down from? where does that leave the whole of innocent until proven guilty? so I am suppose to step down on the bases of something heard on Observer Radio? I am innocent,” said Isaac.
At the time of her remarks Isaac was making an appearance on Sunday’s edition of Observer Radio’s Big Issues where the matter of whether or not ABLP Senator Adian Lee should resign in light of charges being laid against him following an altercation between himself and former BPM Senator Lynton Thomas last week end in Barbuda.
