The Gaston Browne administration is leaving no stone unturned with fulfilling major development promises. This is so as the Government on Wednesday broke ground on the multi-million dollar Chinese project at Knuckle Block, Grays Farm.

The ground breaking ceremony was held at the basket ball court at the entrance of the Grays/Greene Community  where the Knuckle Block Complex was once located.

The project which has a preliminary budget of 38 million RMB, comprises of a Community Center, an indoor Basketball Arena, and a covered parking area that can be utilized as a flea market on weekends.

Present during the ceremony were the Governor General His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, Prime Minister Gaston Browne, and Chinese Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda His Excellency Wang Xianmin.

This will be the third project undertaken by China in the Grays/Green Community during the tenure of three ABLP administrations.

The Multi-purpose Center was the first. The Grays Farm gutter was the second. And, now, the Community Center and Indoor Basketball/Netball court to be completed in 2017.
