Prime Minister Gaston Browne will be leading a high level delegation to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this weekend, in the government’s exclusive efforts to attract Middle Eastern investors to Antigua and Barbuda.
According to a media release from the Director-General of Communications Maurice Merchant, PM Browne, along with Minister of Foreign Affairs Charles Fernandez, Ambassador to the UAE His Excellency E. Casroy James, and several other prominent officials from the public and private sector, will be showcasing the countries long-term political and economic stability in an attempt to boost investment and travel from the Middle East.
The elite exposition-style conference will take place from 8th-9th October, and according to His Excellency E. Casroy James, Antigua and Barbuda could see numerous benefits.
“This conference serves as a great opportunity to raise the country’s profile and awareness to the MENA community, increase tourism traffic, attract foreign direct investment, and promote the country’s overall business climate,” he said.
He added that he team will be opening up a new world to individuals who seek luxury, beauty, unexpected opportunities and unique experiences in an exceptional destination.
His Excellency said investors can rest assured that they will have the government’s support, incentives and concessions to start their business seamlessly.
“As a law abiding nation, we will ensure that the money invested by the investors is well protected,” he said.
The event which is to be held at Dubai’s Palazzo Versace Hotel, will feature high calibre speakers presenting significant aspects of the twin islands in a formal on-stage setting while also providing opportunities to respond to individual queries via a panel discussion and scheduled one-on-one meetings.
