Antiguans and Barbudans now have the opportunity to embark on a cruise boarding right here in their home land.
The government made the announcement earlier this year that the Spanish cruise line Pullmantur will, for the first time offer an opportunity for citizens to embark on a ship around several Caribbean islands.
President of the Antigua & Barbuda Cruise Tourism Association Nathan Dundas told ZDK news that the cruise which is already filled to capacity will begin embarkation on the 26th of December.
Dundas said that that over 30 cabins have already been filled hence the next available cruise is schedule for March 2017.
He said that a building is currently being constructed known as the embarkation room which will facilitate a smooth transition of passengers.
Dundas said that the new initiative is a big deal as it opens up the opportunity for the cruise ship to come every week in Antigua and Barbuda.
