The Government has completed the expansion and upgrade of a number of Secondary Schools on island.
Earlier this year the Ministry of Education set out on a mission to expand five secondary schools in an effort to address the serious issue of overcrowding especially in schools located in St John’s.
The Government’s Chief of Staff Lionel Hurst in an interview on State Owned Media this morning announced news of the project’s completion.
Hurst said that the government is now working on expanding the five islands facility, which is the proposed site for the University of Antigua and Barbuda to accommodate several other tertiary institutions.
He said that the government has already purchased a number of equipment needed to assist the students following the move.
