A man is now nursing a gunshot wound at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center after two men reportedly forced their way into his home on Thursday night.
Police Reports state that the man was at home with his wife hen two masked gunmen broke into his house and demanded money.
The couple was robbed of an undisclosed sum of money and during the attack, one of the gunmen fired a single gunshot which striked the man in his leg.
The man was reportedly rushed to the hospital where medical officials reported that the wound was non-life threatening. His wife was left unharmed.
The news was confirmed by Police spokesperson Senior Sergeant Frankie Thomas, who has appealed to residents to come forward if they have any information about the robbery.
They are asked to call the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or visit the nearest Police Station.
