Barbuda is gearing up for the upcoming Council Elections to be held in March.
This comes after leader of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party Branch in Codrington and representative for the island Arthur Nibbs named a slate of 28 candidates that will be formerly introduced to the Barbuda Electorate on the 28th of January during a social event.
Among the candidates are Makesha Desouza, Senator Nashinta Nedd, Neil Gore, current Council Chairman David Shaw and Calvin Gore.
According to Nibbs, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party will be running against the Barbuda People’s Movement (BPM) on the government’s performance since 2014, its successes and major development projects for Barbuda.
The nomination for Elections will take place on March 15th. All eligible voters who are not been registers are being urged to do so in order to take part in the voting process.
