ONDCP seizes over 2 million dollars’ worth of Cocaine and Cannabis in Urlings

On Monday the National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) seized a total of 2.37 million worth of Cocaine and Cannabis in Urlings during an operation.

The search yielded 26 packages of Cannabis weighing 147 lbs in total, 9 cannabis plants and 45 bricks of Cocaine with a total weight of 50.90 kilograms.

The Cocaine carries an estimated wholesale value of One Million Seven Hundred and Eighty-Six Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety Dollars (XCD $1,786,590.00) whilst the estimated wholesale value of the Cannabis is Five Hundred and Eighty-Eight Thousand Dollars (XCD $588,000.00).

The total estimated wholesale value of both drugs is Two Million, Three Hundred and Seventy-Four Thousand, Five Hundred and Ninety Dollars (XCD $2,374,590.00).

Persons of interest are being sought in connection with the matter and arrests will be made upon conclusion of ongoing investigations.

The Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) wishes to remind the public that it has continued to demonstrate its diligence and commitment to keeping the streets of Antigua and Barbuda free of illegal narcotics.
