15-Year-Old Boy in Custody After Altercation Leaves Another In A Coma

A 15-year old boy is now in Police custody after being involved in a violent altercation which has left another teenager hospitalized in a coma at the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre.

Reports are that the 15 year old boy was at the time arguing with a 16 year old Antigua Grammar School student at a basketball court in Yorks on Saturday.

The argument reportedly over the use of the court, got heated and resulted in the 15 year old striking the older teen in his head.

Police reports details that 3rd form student was rushed to the hospital in an unresponsive state and according to reports reaching ZDK News, the teen has remained in that condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) up to press time.

The victim’s eight year old brother was allegedly, also involved in the argument.

The 15 year  old boy was picked up by the police shortly after the incident and is currently in custody assisting with the investigations
