A 12 and 13 year old were two of the three persons who had to be rushed to the hospital, after the vehicle they were travelling in slammed into a utility pole, ripping it out of the ground.

Head of the Traffic Department Leonard Cabral told ZDK News that the driver of the Honda Integra 22 year old Khawisi Fenton lost control of the vehicle while travelling from south to north on Valley Road near the Antigua State College.

The vehicle license no A5700, reportedly slammed into the utility pole just opposite Jeffrey Service Station, ripping it out of the ground.

Fenton, along with his two passengers 12 year old Donroy Thomas and 13 year old Shideme Miller were rushed to the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre via ambulance. The seriousness of their injuries is still unknown.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:45pm on Tuesday.
