The Ministry of Public Works is reminding motorists that effective today (Wednesday)the roadway will be closed for three (3) nights to facilitate night work for the installation of eight (8) telecommunication crossings between Dees Service Station on Sir George Water Hwy and Factory Road.
The road will be closed from 9:00pm to 6:00am.
Traffic will be diverted during this time. 
• Motorist travelling on Old Parham Road divert onto Mahico Drive (near Payless).
• Motorist traveling on Sir Sidney Walling Highway (Factory Rd) should also take a Mahico Drive.
Meantime, beginning Monday 13th August, 18, a section of Friars Hill Road will be closed until Sunday 26th August to facilitate the constriction of manhole(s).
Access will be maintained for persons conducting business in the area of the construction zone between the intersection of Dickenson Bay Street and Friars Hill Road (at the traffic lights) and St. John’s Street.
Road users are asked to exercise extreme caution when traversing in the construction site. Warning signs will be visible for all road users who are being asked to proceed with caution for the duration of the road works.
No parking will be allowed along main roads or side
